Grass Monkey offers both residential and commercial mowing. Our mowing service includes line trimming, edging and blowing. We trim or edge along the foundation of your home or office, fence lines, trees, flower beds, sidewalks and curbs. Our powerful blowers add the finishing touch by removing debris from the hard surfaces around your home.

Mowing Service Details

• April 1st - November 30th. (Start and stop dates may vary according to weather and lawn conditions.)

Mowing Frequency

• Lawns are typically mowed on a 7 day rotation.

• During slow growth or heavy rain periods, we may slow, suspend or accelerate your mowing rotation to achieve proper mowing conditions.

• Please try to let us know in advance if you would like us to skip or reschedule your regular mowing. You may do so at no charge provided your lawn is not overgrown on the following visit.

• (Tip:) Frequent mowing helps a lawn resist weeds, insects and disease. Infrequent mowing causes too much grass to be removed at one time. Infrequently mowed grass also produces a lawn that looks thin, spotty or burned. As a general rule, we try not to cut more than one-third of the length of your grass at a time.

Mowing Height

• Most cool season grass types such as fescue and bluegrass have a recommended cutting height between 2.5 - 3 inches. We generally cut grass at 3.25 - 4 inches because a lawn cut at this height will have a deeper root system and be more resistant to weeds and disease than shorter cut grass. If you prefer a high or low cut we will be happy to accommodate.

Monthly Billing (Ask to receive statements via email.)

• Saves you time and provides a detailed statement of services provided each month. Statements are prepared at the end of each calendar month with balance due on or before the 10th day of the following month. *Projects over $500- will be billed at the time of service with payment due on on receipt.

Leaf Mulching & Removal

• In early Fall mowing and mulching a light coating of leaves is not a problem and provides valuable nutrients to your lawn. However, If you prefer leaves to be bagged, cleared from planting beds, or extra time is required to move or mulch a heavier coating of leaves, additional charges will apply.
