Mowing Service Details

Mowing Season:

April 1st - November 30th. (Start and stop dates may vary according to weather and lawn conditions.)

Frequency:

Lawns are typically mowed on the same "target" day, one time per week. During slow growth or heavy rain periods, we may slow, suspend, or accelerate your mowing rotation to achieve proper mowing conditions.

Rescheduling/Skipping:

Please let us know 24-48 hours in advance if you need us to skip or reschedule your regular mowing. If your skip request is not received 24 hours prior to your typical service day, you will be charged the full mowing price regardless of the week's service performed.

Mowing Height:

Most cool-season grass types, such as fescue and bluegrass, have a recommended cutting height between 3 - 3.5 inches. We generally cut grass at 3.25 - 4 inches because a lawn cut at this height will have a deeper root system and be more resistant to weeds and disease than shorter-cut grass. If you prefer a high or low cut, we will be happy to accommodate.

Auto Pay:

Auto Pay is required for all lawn mowing services. It saves you time and takes one more thing off of your to-do list. Credit cards or ACH accounts are charged the day of or 1-5 days after service is provided. *Projects over $999 require a 50% deposit and are billed at the time of service with payment due on receipt. Log into your account page to manage your credit card information. Beginning January 1, 2024, we are now able to accept ACH or electronic check payments.

Leaf Mulching & Removal:

In early fall, mowing and mulching a light coating of leaves provides valuable nutrients to your turf. However, as fall progresses, larger amounts of leaves can become a problem by starving your turf of sunlight and providing an ideal environment for pests and disease. Whether it is for the health of your lawn, or you simply want a leaf-free landscape, the Grass Monkey team will take extra time to bag and/or move leaves to your curb for city pickup. *Additional charges will apply for extra time spent moving leaves.
